I’m extremely pleased to report the success of Amanda Barber, Age 20, in the Philadelphia Marathon on November 18!  Amanda has been a “Tron” (Waiter/Waitress in Isaacsspeak) in Downtown Lancaster for about two years.  This was her first ever Marathon!  Here are her stats:

• BIB Number:  #556
• Clock Time 4:53:15 (From the time the gun went off until she arrived at the finish)
• Chip Time 4:49:46 (This is 3 1/2 minutes shorter than her clock time, which means it took that long to get to the start line after the race started. The “Chip” is an electronic timing device that is attached to the shoe.)
• Overall Place 5,660th out of 6,906 runners (she was ahead over over 1,000 runners)!
• Gender Place 2,127th
• Age Grade 46.8%
• Pace per mile 11:03.3
• Time at Half 2:18:23
• Time at Mile20 3:34:40

It’s appropriate for Marathon runners to write their name across the front of their shirt so the crowd can cheer support by yelling the names.  Amanda wrote “GO CRAZY” on her shirt, so she ran with the enthusiastic yells of “Go Crazy!” in her hears.  Next time you see her, make sure you tell her “Go Crazy!”
