Another check presentation for “Buy Soup, Feed Hungry Kids!” to report! On Thursday, February 23rd, Isaac’s Famous Grilled Sandwiches preseneted a check for $17,699.40 to Power Packs Project…money that was raised by the 8 Isaac’s locations in Lancaster County during January’s “Buy Soup, Feed Hungry Kids!” campaign. The check presentation took place at Power Packs Projects’ warehouse in Lancaster. Accepting the check from Phil Wenger, President of Isaac’s, was Joan Espendshade, Board Chair, and Mara Creswell McGrann, Executive Director.
Power Packs Project will use this money to further their mission of partnering with eligible Lancaster County students and their families in providing food and nutritional education that will empower them to thrive. The organization does this by providing nutritious meals during the weekend to at-risk children and their families in 5 school districts – Warwick, Penn Manor, Manheim Township, School District of Lancaster, and Lampeter-Strasburg. To find out how you can volunteer or make a donation, email Power Packs at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.powerpacksproject.org to learn more!
Isaac’s “Buy Soup, Feed Hungry Kids!” campaign raised $39,181, company-wide, for organizations in South Central Pennsylvania with programs helping to feed hungry kids. Other organizations benefiting from the campaign are Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, Greater Berks Food Bank and Chester County Food Bank.
